Lets build a website you’re proud of
Website design for small business owners
Looking for a website that truly reflects your business, speaks directly to your people and looks freaking awesome?
I'm your person.
A custom website is right for you if…
⨠ You've outgrown your DIY site.
⨠ You're ready for a website that finally reflects your vision and identity.
⨠ You want to feel confident and proud when you share your website, not apologetic.
I work with all kinds of small businesses - if you're an independent human building something meaningful, we're probably a good fit.
The Process
Step 1: We Have a Chat
We’ll start with a call.
It’s just a chat so I can find out all about your business, what you want from your website and to figure out if we are a good fit to work together. Zero pressure.
After the call, I’ll send you a written proposal outlining my action plan for the website - if you are happy with it and want to go ahead, this is when you’ll pay your 50% deposit and we can start the planning stage.
Step 2: The Action Plan
We both look at our diaries and agree on a realistic start date - this is the date that I'll actually begin building the site. Making sure it's a date that gives you enough time to get all your content ready (copy, photos, logos, all that stuff).
I’ll be on-hand to let you know exactly what I need. Plus, if you need help with copy editing and image curation, we can chat about this too.
Step 3: Design & Build
This is where I crack on with building your new website.
I’ll start with the homepage, which will inform the rest of the site’s style and aesthetic. I'll send it to you for feedback and we can go back and forth until you love it - this bit is important, so we'll get it right.
Once you are totally happy with it, I’ll build out the rest of your site - keeping you updated throughout so you’re not left wondering what’s happening.
Step 4: Review & Refine
When the full site is built, I'll send it over to you in draft form (password-protected) so you can have a proper look around.
Then you give me your feedback. You get up to two full rounds of revisions, but as you will have seen parts of the site throughout the build it’s not always needed.
Once you're completely happy and everything looks exactly how you want it, it's time to go live.
Step 5: Launch & Handover
I'll connect your domain, guide you through setting up your Squarespace subscription and index your site on Google. Then we'll have a one-hour handover call where I'll walk you through the back end of your website and show you how to use it.
And after that? The website is yours. You're in control.
But I don't just disappear. You get 30 days of free email support for any questions or hiccups. And honestly, even after that, if you need help, just reach out.
No such thing as a silly question.
If there’s any burning question that I haven’t covered, drop me an email to ask.
No question too small.
-
Not at all. That’s exactly what the discovery call is all about.
You don’t need to have everything figured out - often if really helps to think out-loud and talk things through, that’s where the best ideas happen.
I’ll help you get clear on what you need - and zero pressure or sales pitch from me. That’s not my vibe.
-
Not entirely. If you’ve got some of that sorted already - brilliant. If not, I can help guide you through what you need & what to prioritise before I can start building the site.
I love working collaboratively with my clients & can help you with editing your copy and selecting images to make the website work.
-
Yes - absolutely. One of the great things about Squarespace is how user-friendly it is. It’s one of the reasons I love working with Squarespace and think it’s crucial that you own and are in control of your own site.
Once we launch the site, I’ll provide you with full training on how to update and manage it with confidence.
Plus I’m always here if you need a hand down the line. I provide 30 day email support with all site builds but honestly, even if it’s years down the line and you need a hand, just drop me an email and I’ll help.
-
Prices for a custom website start at £2,200 for a service based website.
I’ll always be clear and upfront before we start. I charge a flat rate rather than hourly so the price we agree on is always the final price.
We can chat through everything on your discovery call and find the right fit for your budget.
-
You’ll need to buy your website domain, which has an annual fee (approx £20 a year). I’d recommend securing your domain asap
You’ll also need an annual subscription for your Squarespace account. You don’t need to subscribe until your website is finished though (I can also get you a discount on this)
-
Absolutely. I’m currently working on creating a package for just this.
I can help guide you in the right direction, fix any niggly things that aren’t quite working or give your site a full on refresh if it needs it.
It really helps if you can send me a link to your current site before we speak, gives me a bit of time to work on some suggestions for how we can improve things.

Client Love
"I was feeling lost after waiting for a very long time for a previous web designer to get moving. I had a chat with Ishbel, loved her style and creative flair and went for it.
She talked me through every step - I'm not technically minded, but she was patient and helped me really think about all aspects of the site. She gave me plenty of creative input while still giving me space to find my own style, and I was delighted with the way it turned out.
Since launching, I'm getting more sales and I finally feel I have a strong brand identity. Ishbel is professional, organised, creative and fun, and a very easy person to work with.”

It all starts with a chat
Not a discovery call. Not a sales pitch. Just a good natter.
We'll talk about your business, what you're struggling with, what you want from your website. I'll share some initial thoughts and ideas. We'll brainstorm.
It's totally free, and there's no hard sell from me. That's not my vibe.
